A Legacy of Family Tradition Since 1932
For over 90 years, Pilgreen's has been serving up hearty, made-from-scratch meals where tradition meets exceptional flavor.
Our Story
Founded in 1932 by master butcher Ira W. Pilgreen, Pilgreen’s Steakhouse began on the corner of Fifth & Spring Streets in Atlanta, Georgia. Drawing on his trade, Ira crafted a unique steak-seasoning blend that remains a cherished part of our menu today.
Through three generations of the Pilgreen family, we have remained committed to the same standards of fine steakhouse dining, supreme quality meats, and warm hospitality. In 1983 we expanded to a second “Pilgreen’s South” location, further extending our tradition of full-service dining.
Today our McDonough venue on Lake Dow continues this legacy — combining our original steakhouse roots with an event-ready space for weddings, reunions, and celebrations. With dramatic lake-front views, banquet capability, and timeless steakhouse ambiance, we’re proud to carry forward over 90 years of tradition.
Whether you join us for a classic steak dinner or a special celebration, you're part of a legacy that began in 1932. Welcome to Pilgreen’s.
